About this opportunity
The United States Coast Guard, under the Department of Homeland Security, is seeking to acquire office space via lease within a designated radius of the Romano Mazzoli Federal Building located at 600 Dr. Martin Luther King Place in Louisville, Kentucky. This pre-solicitation notice invites property owners and managers to submit expressions of interest for potential lease arrangements. Evaluation criteria include geographic location with preference given to properties closer to the current location within the delineated area, minimum two-year lease terms with preference for longer commitments, established and well-maintained roadway access, proximity to public utilities (water, sewer, electrical, natural gas, telephone, cable television, and high-speed internet), and environmental compliance. Properties will be ranked comprehensively based on these criteria, with the Coast Guard noting it will not assume liability for properties with environmental issues but will evaluate such cases on an individual basis. The deadline for submitting expressions of interest is April 29, 2026, with submissions required in writing and must include proof of property ownership or authority to lease, recent surveys if available, and documentation addressing the stated evaluation criteria.
This opportunity carries no set-aside designation and does not identify any incumbent contractors. The procurement targets an August 1, 2026 commencement date with an initial two-year lease term through July 31, 2027, and includes the potential for an optional one-year extension contingent upon lessor consent. No specific award value or budget range is disclosed in the pre-solicitation notice. Interested parties are instructed to resubmit their expressions of interest to a corrected email address, as the original posting contained an incorrect email that prevented receipt of prior submissions. The notice emphasizes the importance of providing a location map and detailed information addressing the evaluation criteria to facilitate the government's assessment of submitted properties.
