About this opportunity
The Department of the Army's Fort Knox Qualified Recycle Program is soliciting bids for the sale of one load of Manifold Coloured Ledger (MCL), a recyclable paper material consisting of approximately 40,000 lbs of industrial sheets, shavings, and cuttings. The solicitation seeks potential buyers who can provide a 53-foot van trailer and meet specific material composition requirements, with strict prohibitions on contaminated or non-compliant materials. Interested parties must submit a complete bid package by April 3, 2025, at 2:00 PM Eastern Standard Time, including a signed solicitation form with company details and a proposed offer price. The evaluation criteria will primarily focus on the best price offered by bidders. Potential vendors should contact Tara Mounce or Jamie Daley via the provided email addresses with any questions or clarifications about the solicitation.
The contract opportunity is not designated with any specific set-aside provisions and is open to all qualifying bidders. The materials will be located at Fort Knox, Kentucky, and the winning bidder must be prepared to pick up the load within five working days of notification. Payment must be made using a bank draft, cashier's check, or other approved payment method, with materials to be weighed on government scales and an invoice issued within five working days of pickup. The payment terms require full compensation within 45 calendar days of invoicing. This opportunity falls under the NAICS category 423930 for Recyclable Material Merchant Wholesalers, indicating it is targeted at businesses specializing in recycling and material trading. The total volume of materials is relatively small at 20 tons, suggesting this is a targeted recycling initiative rather than a large-scale procurement effort.
