About this opportunity

This Pre-Solicitation Notice is for sustainment support services for the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) weapons system. The Missile Defense Agency intends to solicit a sole-source contract to Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control for launcher, fire control and communications, interceptor, and peculiar support equipment sustainment services. This includes support for Foreign Military Sales customers. Interested subcontracting parties should contact Lockheed Martin. The agency will negotiate directly with Lockheed Martin under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii), as Lockheed is the only responsible source capable of meeting the agency's requirements.

There is no set-aside designation. The agency has approved an acquisition strategy to negotiate solely with Lockheed Martin under other than full and open competition procedures. No numerical budget ranges or quantities were provided, but the notice represents the agency's intent to negotiate a sustainment contract for an indefinite period to support the fielded THAAD system. Interested parties have until November 17th, 2019 to contact the prime contractor if seeking subcontracting opportunities.
