Notice text
The US Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) has a procurement requirement for the US Army Medical Research Institute of Chemical Defense (USAMRICD) at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD 21010. The strategy is to award a firm-fixed-price contract over a 36 month time frame consisting of six 6-month ordering periods; a base period and 5 optional periods. The authority cited is Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b). This is a follow-on requirement for commercially available purified recombinant adenoviruses directly related to previous work completed by Welgen Incorporated, 100 Barber Avenue, Worcester MA. The follow-on protocol requires the same work and results for contunity of on-going research and for the research to contiune without break in performance. To award to a new vendor could jeopardize the protocol by receiving different results due to process differences. A solicitation SF 1449 will not be provided. If any companies can meet the Government's above need, a capabilities statement can be sent to Erin Maddox at erin.maddox@amedd.army.mil. This serves as the Government's intent to award a sole source to ensure the research mission at USAMRICD is not comprimised. If no responses are received by 8:00 am eastern standard time on 5 June 2012, the strategy will commence.
