About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure 75 units of a specific terminal data processing component with National Stock Number 7H-7025-014732710. The pre-solicitation notice indicates the government does not currently own the data or rights necessary to contract repair of this part from alternative sources, and has determined it would be uneconomical to purchase data rights or reverse engineer the component. All interested firms are required to include their CAGE Code on solicitation requests, and award will only be made if the offeror, product/service, or manufacturer meets specific qualification requirements in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. Potential vendors can obtain relevant military and federal specifications through the DoD Single Stock Point (DODSSP) in Philadelphia, either via online ASSIST-Quick Search or by contacting their help desk. Interested parties have 15 days from the notice date (March 10, 2025) to identify their capability to satisfy the government's requirement with a commercial item.
The pre-solicitation does not indicate any specific set-aside designations, and no incumbent contractors are mentioned in the notice. The total quantity is fixed at 75 units, with delivery specified as FOB Origin, suggesting the government is seeking a direct procurement with specific technical requirements. While no precise award value is provided, the complexity of the technical specifications and the government's specific data rights constraints suggest this could be a specialized procurement. The solicitation is classified under PSC Category 7E20, which relates to IT and Telecom End User services, specifically focusing on help desk and workspace productivity tools. Vendors interested in pursuing this opportunity must carefully review the qualification requirements and be prepared to demonstrate their technical capabilities and compliance with the Naval Supply Systems Command's specific procurement criteria.
