About this opportunity
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) Geotechnical and Structures Laboratory (GSL) has published a Special Notice for the procurement of a ground-based towable mobile data acquisition time-domain electromagnetic (tTEM) system from TEMcompany ApS (CAGE R9243). The agency intends to award a firm-fixed price single-source contract for the tTEM 222 system, related software, training, and accessories.
The purpose of this procurement is to acquire a tTEM system that can be used for the evaluation and sustainability of the nation's infrastructure as part of an ongoing civil works infrastructure research and development program. The applicable NAICS code is 334519 Other Measuring and Controlling Device Manufacturing. Interested vendors must provide a capability statement or proposal demonstrating their ability to fulfill this requirement by 1:00 PM CST on August 16, 2024. The government will consider all responsible sources, but a determination not to compete this requirement on a full and open basis is solely at the discretion of the government.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Research and Development Center (ERDC), Geotechnical and Structures Laboratory (GSL) intends to issue a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) single source award to Temcompany APS (CAGE R9243) for TEMcompany ApS tTEM 222 System. The Geotechnical and Structures Laboratory (GSL) of the US Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) is engaged in an ongoing civil works infrastructure research and development program to develop and demonstrate innovative products that will significantly improve the evaluation and sustainability of our nation’s infrastructure. To accomplish this, GSL has the need to acquire sensors for evaluation of the structural integrity of infrastructure.
The award will be issued in accordance with FAR 13.106(b)(1)(i). The applicable North American Industrial Classification System Code (NAICS) code is 334519 Other Measuring and Controlling Device Manufacturing, Computing Infrastructure Providers, Data Processing, Web Hosting, and Related Services, with a size standard of 600 employees. This notice of intent is for information purposes only.
This notice is not a request for competitive quotes or proposals. A solicitation will not be issued. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. The information submitted must be provided in sufficient detail to demonstrate the vendor’s ability to fulfill this requirement. The contractor must also provide a description of their past experience in fulfilling requirements which are the same or similar to this requirement and references for each.
Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. Responses to this requirement may be submitted to David Ammermann at David.G.Ammermann@usace.army.mil AND Jon-Vincent Holden at Jon-Vincent.S.Holden@usace.army.mil. The solicitation number shall be included in the subject line of the e-mail submission. Responses must be received no later than 1:00PM CST August 16th, 2024.
