Specifically, the agency intends to acquire two specific models (PN 100-045-0001 and 100-041-0002) from Teledyne FLIR Integrated Detection Systems, with one unit of each model being requested. The contract opportunity (Solicitation Number N6893625Q5014) is not open to competitive proposals, but interested firms may submit a written response demonstrating their capabilities by February 18, 2025. Potential respondents must submit their written responses to donell.e.duenassims.civ@us.navy.mil within five days of the publication date.
The procurement is not designated with any specific set-aside status and falls under the NAICS category of Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing (NAICS 334516). The contract appears to be for defense-related scientific instrumentation, categorized under the Product Service Code 6640 for Laboratory Equipment and Supplies. Potential contractors must maintain an active registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) and be prepared to submit a notarized letter identifying their authorized Entity Administrator within 30 days of registration. While no specific award value is mentioned, the procurement involves acquiring two specialized scientific instruments from a single manufacturer, indicating a potentially significant but focused technical procurement.
