About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is procuring Tee Assembly components (NSN 1H-4730-010848349-L1) through this pre-solicitation notice. The procurement requires contractors to maintain an inspection system that conforms to MIL-I-45208A or an equivalent standard, as certified by a joint DCMA/NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support survey team. Offerors must be approved sources and meet the Level 1 item acquisition requirements mandated for this component. The government possesses complete technical data with no restrictions on engineering, tooling, or manufacturing, enabling full and open competition among qualified suppliers. The proposal due date is February 6, 2026, and interested parties can obtain additional information regarding MIL-I-45208A requirements from NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania.
This acquisition is designated as a Total Small Business Set-Aside, reserved exclusively for small business concerns as outlined in FAR clause 52.219-6. The specific set-aside category will be determined during the formal solicitation and may include HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned Small Business, Women-Owned Small Business, or Historically Black College or University and Minority Institution designations. The procurement requires delivery of 26 units to Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Kittery, Maine (N50286). While no contract award value is specified in this pre-solicitation notice, the relatively modest quantity and component type suggest a moderate procurement value. Interested small business contractors should begin preparing their qualifications and inspection system certifications in advance of the February 2026 deadline.
