About this opportunity
Moody Air Force Base, under the Department of the Air Force Air Combat Command, is seeking qualified sources to evaluate and repair ten tactical radios to restore full operational capability in accordance with original equipment manufacturer specifications. The procurement involves L3Harris radio models including two PRC-117G units, three PRC-152A units, one PRC-160 unit, and four additional PRC-117G units that require repairs for issues such as broken screens, power cycle failures, crypto tamper alerts, and stuck encryption keys. A critical requirement is that all repair work must be performed by L3Harris Certified Repair Technicians to preserve the manufacturer's warranty. Firms responding must provide clear evidence demonstrating their capability to meet or exceed the specified technical requirements. This is a pre-solicitation notice issued for market research purposes only, with responses due by March 20, 2026, and inquiries should be directed to ashley.castillo_flynn@us.af.mil or (229)-257-4717.
This procurement carries no set-aside designation and is not associated with any incumbent contractor or current contract vehicle. No specific award value or budget range has been disclosed in this pre-solicitation notice. The solicitation involves repair services for ten radio units with various deficiencies requiring technician-level troubleshooting and restoration work. The government has emphasized that this pre-solicitation does not obligate the government to issue a formal contract or incur any financial obligation, indicating this is purely an exploratory market research effort to identify qualified repair sources in the tactical communications equipment sector.
