About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force has issued a Special Notice for the procurement of 10 electroCore TAC-STIM Non-Invasive Vagus Nerve Stimulators. The 628th Contracting Squadron at Joint Base Charleston intends to award a sole source contract to electroCore, Inc. for these devices based on the proprietary nature of the TAC-STIM system, which is exclusively manufactured and sold by electroCore.

The purpose of this Special Notice is to inform the public of the Air Force's intent to award a sole source contract for the TAC-STIM devices. The solicitation has a due date of September 9, 2024. While this is not a request for competitive proposals, responsible sources may submit capability statements, proposals, or quotations for consideration. The government will continue to monitor the market for any new entrants that may allow for competition in future requirements. The salient characteristics for the required devices include capabilities for non-invasive vagus nerve stimulation, self-administration, portability, and pre-set session cycles without connectivity features.
