About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking a contractor to repair and overhaul E-2_C-2 Inboard Rudder Tabs, categorized under Aircraft Parts and Auxiliary Equipment Manufacturing. The solicitation requires a detailed repair process with specific Repair Turnaround Time (RTAT) requirements, where contractors must complete repairs within a specified timeframe after receiving the asset. First Article Inspection (FAI) is mandatory, with DCMA and FST required to be present for inspection at the contractor's facility to verify complete cleaning, inspection, assembly, and testing compliance. The contract opportunity is posted on February 25, 2025, with proposals due by March 27, 2025, and contractors must accurately report all transactions within five business days of asset receipt. Evaluation will likely focus on the contractor's ability to meet precise repair specifications and turnaround times outlined in the Statement of Work dated February 13, 2025.

No specific set-aside designations are noted for this contract opportunity. The induction period expires 365 days after contract award, with a monthly throughput to be specified by the contractor. Contractors must provide a throughput constraint for each National Stock Number (NSN) and are expected to complete repairs within the negotiated RTAT, with potential financial considerations if timelines are not met. The contract allows for early and incremental deliveries, and packaging must adhere to MIL-STD 2073 standards. While specific award value is not disclosed, the solicitation indicates a pricing structure based on meeting repair turnaround requirements. The place of performance will be the contractor's facility, where the full inspection and repair process will take place, with government representatives present to verify compliance with all repair publications and testing requirements.
