The following clarification information is provided:

New gauges must provide the same form/fit and equivalent function.



New gauges must be standard 2 inch diameter gauges and must operate with 28VDC power.



Please provide MTBF (mean time between failure) data for the proposed gauges.



The contractor shall hold a federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) authorizing use of their proposed engine monitoring gauges in T-44 aircraft.





A draft Statement of Work is attached.



Responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responses will not restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach or be construed as a commitment by the Government. The Government will not pay for the information requested herein. Evaluation results will not be provided to contractors responding to this synopsis. No phone calls will be accepted. Responses shall be in writing and sent by email to Mr. William Z. This advertisement serves to aid in determining market interest and capabilities for this prospective requirement.



This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE for Market Research purposes ONLY. This information will be used to determine the availability of vendors capable of meeting the Government’s minimum requirements, the availability of small businesses capable of providing this support, and approximate prices to be used for funding purposes. The NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Jacksonville (FLCJ) is conducting a market survey to determine the availability of contractors capable of providing the following:



T-44 trainer model aircraft are currently undergoing modification to incorporate new, digital engine gauges.

All of these gauges support the King Air engines installed in T-44 aircraft to measure the interstage turbine temperature, torque, fuel flow, oil temperature pressure, torque pressure, and the rotation speed of the propeller and turbine.



The following gauges are needed at a quantity of 10 each:



Indicator, Interstage Turbine Temperature

Indicator, Torque

Indicator, Propeller Tachometer

Indicator, Turbine Tachometer

Indicator, Fuel Flow

Indicator, Oil Temperature/Pressure

Transducer, Torque Pressure



The contractor shall hold a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Supplemental Type Certificate (STC). This certificate is required to authorize use of any replacement, non-original components on commercial aircraft such as the T-44.





Vendors interested in responding to this sources sought synopsis shall provide a technical capabilities statement that describes the firm’s expertise in performing the requirement.



The technical capabilities statement shall include a cover page containing the company’s name, address, CAGE code, Dun & Bradstreet number, years in business, affiliate information, parent company, joint venture partners, NAICS, business size/socio-economic status, government business point-of-contact name, phone number, and e-mail address. The respondent shall also provide per-aircraft price range estimates for this work. Additionally, the respondent shall provide a list of all current GSA/VA scheduled contracts (if applicable).





The technical capabilities statement and price estimates provided in response to this Sources Sought Notice are NOT to be considered a response to Request for Proposal (RFP) in that no RFP exists at this time.
