Notice text

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to negotiate and award a T-45 Structural Fatigue Life Tracking (SFLT) Software Modification as a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) delivery order under the Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-11-G-0001 to The Boeing Company on a sole source basis under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." Boeing is the sole designer, developer, manufacturer and supplier of the T-45 aircraft and therefore is the only contractor with the requisite knowledge, experience and technical data that can meet the Government's requirements on a timely basis. The period of performance will last for 12 months and the requirement reflects the efforts needed to modify and deliver updated SFLT Software that will correct current, known deficiencies in the methodology/software.

This notice of intent is neither a request for proposal nor a solicitation of offers. This synopsis is provided for information purposes only. A determination not to compete this proposed extension is solely within the discretion of the United States Government.
