Laughlin AFB, TX located in Del Rio, TX is in need for the construction of Sunshades with lighting for the T-1 aircraft. Maintenance personnel currently do not have any weather protection for the T-1and must use portable equipment to provide light in order to perform aircraft maintenance. The constant exposure to the elements along with the retrieval, setup and breakdown of lighting equipment has led to decreased efficiency. The contractor will be required to provide all labor, equipment, materials and transportation. This project includes, but is not limited to: site surveys, determining pre-existing conditions, trenching/excavation work, electrical conduit/wiring installation and testing, electrical lighting installation and testing, concrete demolition/construction and testing, removal of/striping of airfield paint lines, the removal/installation of grounding/tie-down rods, erection of multiple prefabricated metal structures. The project location is located within a Controlled Area on the airfield and therefore the Contractor shall comply with all rules and regulations governing said area. All work shall be performed during normal duty hours (0730 - 1630) Monday through Friday. Work shall not be performed during federal holidays. Work shall be performed on Air Education and Training Command (AETC) Family Days. All Prospective offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) to award. Registration may be accomplished at website, https://www.sam.gov.


The tentative date to issue solicitation is the second week of June. The period of performance will be based on multiple notice to proceed (NTPs).


The government will include 100% designs when the solicitation is posted.


The magnitude of the requirement is between $1,000,000 and $3,000,000.
