About this opportunity
The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) is pursuing a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) with Huntington Ingalls Corporation (HII Ingalls) for Post Shakedown Availability (PSA) Planning and Support Services for USS Arleigh Burke (DDG 51) Class Guided Missile Destroyers. The contract will specifically support PSA planning for seven destroyers: DDG 128, DDG 129, DDG 131, DDG 133, DDG 135, DDG 137, and DDG 139. The procurement will be executed on a sole source basis under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1), with services including planning, engineering support, on-site engineering liaison, craft assistance, material procurement, Integrated Logistics Support, and emergent industrial availabilities. The pre-solicitation notice was posted on January 8, 2025, with responses due by January 23, 2025. The contract will be evaluated based on HII Ingalls' specific capabilities and historical performance with these naval vessels.
This opportunity is not set aside for any specific small business designation and will be awarded directly to HII Ingalls as the sole source contractor. The contract is categorized under NAICS code 336611 for Ship Building and Repairing and PSC category 1905 for Combat Ships and Landing Vessels. While specific award values were not disclosed, the contract appears focused on comprehensive support and maintenance services for multiple DDG 51 Class destroyers. Firms interested in potential subcontracting opportunities are encouraged to contact HII Ingalls directly at their Pascagoula, Mississippi headquarters. The BOA structure suggests flexibility for multiple task orders and support activities to be issued under the agreement's framework, enabling responsive maintenance and readiness support for these naval vessels.
