About this opportunity
The United States Air Force Air Combat Command is seeking live tissue and cadaver training services to provide realistic medical instruction for Pararescue personnel. The training aims to develop advanced procedural skills, focusing on live physiology training utilizing live tissue models as well as cadaver-based training. Key requirements include alignment with the Pararescue Medical Operations Handbook, and the solicitation will be conducted as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set-aside. The agency has an Approved Vendor List for this training, which was established in May 2022, and will be selecting from among those six vendors. Important dates include a due date of December 3, 2024 for responses to this pre-solicitation notice.
The SDVOSB set-aside indicates that only small businesses owned and controlled by service-disabled veterans will be eligible to compete for this contract opportunity. While the specific award value is not provided, the training is likely a recurring requirement for the Air Force's Pararescue units, suggesting a potentially significant contract value. The current six approved vendors may have an advantage as incumbent providers of this specialized training.
