About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) is procuring powered valves for weapon systems support through the Philadelphia location of NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS). This procurement falls under NAICS code 336413 (Other Aircraft Parts and Auxiliary Equipment Manufacturing) and PSC code 4810 (Valves, Powered), indicating specialized equipment for naval applications. The primary contract requirement is the establishment of a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) with an approved supplier that meets existing Source Approval Statement criteria. A Source Approval Request (SAR) process is available for other firms interested in becoming approved suppliers, though this procurement will not be delayed pending additional supplier approvals. The pre-solicitation notice was posted on February 19, 2026, with a submission deadline of March 9, 2026, and interested parties should submit qualifications and capabilities to Katlyn M. Galetto at katlyn.m.galetto.civ@us.navy.mil. Contractual documents will be considered issued upon deposit in mail, transmission by facsimile, or electronic methods such as email, with the government's acceptance of a contractor's proposal constituting bilateral agreement.

This opportunity is designated as an 8(a) Sole Source procurement, indicating set-aside status for small disadvantaged businesses. Eaton (CAGE code 86090) is identified as the intended recipient of the sole source award, as they already maintain an approved Source Approval Statement for the specified material. While the pre-solicitation notice does not disclose specific contract values or order quantities, the establishment of a BOA suggests potential for multiple orders over the agreement period. No specific timeline for service delivery or contract performance is detailed in the notice. This procurement structure allows NAVSUP WSS to expedite the award process while maintaining flexibility through the BOA mechanism for future purchases of the specified powered valve equipment.
