About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure proximity switches under National Stock Number 7H-5930-013544383. This procurement requires acquisition from sources specified on source control or selected item drawings as defined by DoD-STD-100, indicating strict source restrictions due to limited availability of technical data and manufacturing knowledge. The procurement is not designated as a set-aside contract. Interested firms must include their CAGE Code on all solicitation requests. Military and Federal Specifications, Standards, and related documentation are available through the DoD Single Stock Point (DODSSP) at the Document Automation and Production Service in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, or through ASSIST-Online at http://quicksearch.dla.mil/. The pre-solicitation notice was posted on November 14, 2024, with a solicitation due date of November 28, 2025.

The contract calls for the acquisition of 41 units with delivery on a free-on-board (FOB) origin basis. This procurement is subject to strict source control requirements, meaning that suitable technical data, government data rights, or manufacturing and repair knowledge are not available to permit acquisition from alternative sources or qualify testing of substitute parts. Award will be made only to offerors whose products and manufacturers meet the specified requirements outlined in the source control documentation. While specific budget information is not provided in this pre-solicitation notice, the quantity of 41 units and the specialized nature of the proximity switches suggest a targeted procurement for specific Naval Supply Systems Command applications. Prospective contractors should note that the technical data package requirements and compliance with DoD-STD-100 standards are critical evaluation factors for this procurement.
