Amendment 3: Questions and Answers:
Q2: Please provide a brief description of the application the cameras are being used for?
A2: The intended applications for these imagers may be many and varied among several projects, far too many to scope down to a single application. But in general, we require very high quality, low noise imagery to evaluate materials and processes under test. Some of the efforts will be comparative, using these imagers to rate the performance of other sensors to include non-imaging sensors. Other apps will be test and evaluation of innumerable objects, materials, and surface treatments. Speaking in very general terms, we require a very low noise sensor; GiGe interface; compatibility with our existing infrastructure; small logistical foot print. If there are products that fit please send the package over for review.
This amendment does not alter or extend the closing date for this solicitation.

Amendment 2: Questions and Answers:
Q1: "Is the GigE with PoE+ an absolute requirement or would Camera Link connectivity be an acceptable alternative?"
A1: ATC Lists GigE with PoE+ as a Key Attribute for this effort. ATC has selected GiGe with PoE+ as a standard for laboratory and test range imaging. Camera Link technology is not considered an equivalent for the following reasons: Camera Link does not provide Ethernet compatible interface elements that are equal to GigE; Camera Link is not compatibile with our existing AXIS video recorder and AXIS camera station application. Camera Link is not compatible with our selected integrated development because camera link requires utility software to transcode data to a format compatible with our applications. GigE reduces the cabling requirement as well as eliminating the need for an additional power supply and ancillary equipment.
This amendment does not alter or extend the closing date for this solicitation.

Amendment 1: Interested vendors are to use "(REVISED) Attachment I-Product Requirements" The revision was for formatting purposes. This amendment does not alter or extend the closing dates for questions or the solicitation.
