About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure 500 continuous threaded studs (NSN 1H-5307-012900112-L1) for delivery to the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Kittery, Maine. The technical data package (TDP Version 005) is complete, and the government retains full rights to the technical data with no manufacturing or engineering restrictions. This procurement indicates a potential for full and open competition, specifically under Acquisition/Requirement Management Codes (A/RMCs) 1 or 2. While specific evaluation criteria are not detailed in the pre-solicitation notice, the document suggests that potential vendors should carefully review the technical data package and their ability to meet the precise specifications. The opportunity is currently in the pre-solicitation phase, with responses due by April 28, 2025.
The contract is designated as a 100% small business set-aside, with potential for additional specific set-aside classifications including HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned, or Women-Owned Small Business concerns. The specific type of small business set-aside will be clarified in the final solicitation document. The procurement involves a standard quantity of 500 units, with delivery directed to the L1SS location at the naval shipyard. While no specific award value is mentioned, the precise requirements and technical specifications suggest this is a specialized procurement targeting small business manufacturers capable of producing precise threaded studs to exact military specifications. Interested small businesses should carefully review the forthcoming solicitation to determine their eligibility and capability to meet the contract requirements.
