About this opportunity
The U.S. Chemical Safety and Hazard Investigation Board (CSB) is issuing a pre-solicitation notice for structural engineering services to support its investigations into chemical incidents that may have caused structural damage. The selected vendor must be able to assess structural hazards, identify safe entry paths for the government investigation team, and provide ongoing structural assessments during the investigation. Key requirements include civil/structural engineering expertise, damage assessment experience, urban search and rescue training, and the ability to use drones. The contract will be a fixed-rate labor hour task order with a base period plus four 12-month option periods. Interested vendors must submit capability statements by May 16, 2024.
This opportunity is not set-aside, and the government has not identified any incumbent contractors. The pre-solicitation notice does not provide any information about potential award values or budget ranges. The notice references a related solicitation, CSB-24-00001, which seeks structural engineering vendors certified in Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) and Advanced Structures by the US Army Corps of Engineers and FEMA.
