About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Air Education and Training Command (Luke Air Force Base, 56 CONS) seeks one Strippit Punch Press Tooling unit via RFQ, with quotes due July 6, 2026, at 1:00 PM EDT and questions due July 1, 2026, at 1:00 PM EDT. This is a 100% Total Small Business Set-Aside, restricting competition to small business concerns under NAICS 333517 (Machine Tool Manufacturing), with a size standard of 500 employees.
Place of performance is Luke Air Force Base, Arizona (14185 Falcon Street, Luke AFB, AZ 85309), with delivery requested by September 25, 2026. Inspection and acceptance occur at both the contractor's location and destination.
Technical requirements are specified by station size and application. Station A (1/2 inch) handles small-diameter holes and shapes; Station B (1-1/4 inch) covers de-burring, scribing, lancing, and forming; Station C (2 inch) addresses rolling ribs and high-performance round or rectangular punches; Station D (3-1/2 inch) manages progressive louvers, ribs, and large-diameter punching. Materials are predominantly aluminum in standard thicknesses of .063", .090", and .125", with clearances ranging from .0060" to .0140". Key features include Slug Hugger 2 dies, shear angles on larger punches, Ultima Premium Punch Steel, and modular interchangeable assemblies for different material thicknesses.
Evaluation weighs price, technical capability (quality assurance, pedigree, supply chain resilience), and past performance (recency within three years, relevancy, on-time delivery, acceptance rates) equally—technical and past performance combined carry the same weight as price. This is a firm fixed-price acquisition with PSC 3445. Funds are not presently available; no award will be made until funds are available.
