About this opportunity

Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime is seeking sources to manufacture a strainer element (NSN 4730-20-001-0565) and requests submissions by June 10, 2026. DLA is not using a set-aside category and is actively soliciting information on manufacturers capable of producing this item, including manufacturer location and points of contact.

Interested contractors may pursue qualification as an Approved Source through DLA Land and Maritime's Alternate Offer/Source Approval Request (SAR) Program. The SAR process requires applicants to submit a technical package demonstrating that their product meets or exceeds the performance of the currently approved Original Equipment Manufacturer item. DLA emphasizes that the burden falls on the contractor to document and substantiate product equivalence or superiority.

Submissions should be directed to Kristina Wolf at Kristina.wolf@dla.mil or 614-693-2623. The procurement falls under NAICS 332996 (Fabricated Pipe and Pipe Fitting Manufacturing) and PSC 4730 (Hose, Pipe, Tube, Lubrication, and Railing Fittings).
