About this opportunity
The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation is pursuing a pre-solicitation for a stator and engine generator component, specifically focused on aircraft engine electrical system components. The procurement will be conducted through SAM.gov, with potential offerors encouraged to submit electronic responses via email. The solicitation (SPRTA1-25-Q-0350) falls under the Aircraft Engine and Engine Parts Manufacturing NAICS code 336412, indicating a specialized technical procurement. The contract is not expected to exceed the Simplified Acquisition Threshold, which suggests a relatively small-scale acquisition. The agency has waived traditional synopsis requirements under FAR part 5.202(a)(13), allowing for streamlined electronic processing of the procurement.
The pre-solicitation notice indicates no specific set-aside designations, meaning the opportunity is open to all qualified vendors. The procurement is structured to permit broad electronic response capabilities, aligning with modern federal contracting practices. While precise award value details are not explicitly stated, the reference to the Simplified Acquisition Threshold suggests the contract will likely be under $250,000. The posting and due date are both listed as May 16, 2025, which appears to provide immediate opportunity for interested manufacturers of aircraft engine electrical components. The specific product focus on stator and engine generator components implies a technical, precision-based procurement targeting specialized aerospace manufacturing capabilities.
