About this opportunity
The Department of Homeland Security Office of Procurement Operations intends to issue a sole source contract extension for Protective Security Officer (PSO) services throughout Colorado. The extension will be for up to three months, beginning 07/01/2025, and will be awarded to Triple Canopy, Inc. under contract number 70RFPW19DW8000001. The government is utilizing the authority of 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, which allows for a non-competitive procurement when only one responsible source can satisfy agency requirements. This solicitation is not requesting competitive proposals, and no Request for Proposal (RFP) will be made available to the public. A Justification for Other Than Full and Open Competition will be posted to sam.gov to document the sole source rationale.
The contract opportunity is categorized under NAICS code 561612 for Security Guards and Patrol Services, with a PSC category of S206 for Housekeeping-Guard services. The place of performance will be various locations throughout the state of Colorado. No specific set-aside designation has been applied to this procurement. The incumbent contractor, Triple Canopy, Inc., located in Herndon, Virginia, will continue to provide armed security personnel services. While specific award values are not detailed in the solicitation, the extension is designed to ensure continuous critical protective security services and allow time for placement of a new contract. The short three-month extension period suggests the government is actively working to transition to a new long-term contract arrangement for these essential security services.
