About this opportunity

Naval Supply Systems Command intends to solicit repair or modification of a starter engine electrical component (NSN 7R-2925-014183193-V2) for 32 units with delivery FOB origin; response to this pre-solicitation notice is due November 8, 2026. This procurement is restricted to Government-approved sources only—only previously approved sources have been solicited—because the item is flight critical, requires engineering source approval by the design control activity to maintain part quality, and the qualified source retains unique design capability, engineering skills, manufacturing knowledge, and technical data not economically available to the Government and essential to maintaining quality. An alternate source must qualify in accordance with design control activity procedures as approved by the cognizant Government engineering activity. If you are not an approved source, you must submit source approval information detailed in the applicable NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) Source Approval Information Brochure for either spares or repair, along with technical data demonstrating your company's experience in production of the same or similar item. Government source approval is required prior to contract award; the approval timeline is normally such that award cannot be delayed pending new source approval.
