About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy's Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to award a sole source contract to Saab Inc. for the production and associated production support of the FY2026-FY2027 AN/SPN-50 Shipboard Air Traffic Radar (SATR). The primary modification will procure up to 5 radars, or other quantities as authorized by Congress. Additional modifications for Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) repairs are also anticipated. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis as Saab is the original designer, developer, and manufacturer of the OE-120/UPX Antenna Group systems and holds the unique knowledge, experience, and skills required to provide these supplies and services.
The contract will not be set aside, and no competitive proposals will be solicited. The total estimated value of the contract actions is not specified. Saab is the incumbent contractor, having previously been awarded Contract N00019-23-C-0049. Interested parties should direct any questions concerning subcontracting opportunities to Mike Deskiewicz at Saab.
