About this opportunity

The Environmental Protection Agency announced on September 8, 2026, its intent to proceed with phased administrative closeout of 103 expired federal contracts, with unilateral closeout actions beginning 15 days after publication. Contractors identified in the attached contract list have until September 23, 2026, to contact the EPA and provide valid reasons why their contracts should not be closed. The contracts subject to closure expired six or more years prior to the initiative, with expiration dates ranging from 1989 through 2006. Named contractors include Abt Associates, Alion Science and Technology Corporation, Booz Allen Hamilton, Computer Sciences Corporation, ICF Incorporated, Lockheed Martin Services entities, Tetra Tech EM, TRC Environmental Corporation, URS Operating Services, and Weston Solutions. Contract numbers follow EPA naming conventions (68-W, 68-D, and EP-prefixed designations). The EPA will publish additional contract listings approximately every two weeks as part of its continuing phased closeout process. Contractors are encouraged to monitor future special notices to determine whether additional contracts have been identified for administrative closure. Point of contact: Martina White, White.Martina@epa.gov.
