About this opportunity
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service issued a notice of intent to sole-source award for delivery of 50 cubic yards of 4500 psi ready-mix concrete with pump truck and operator support to Jones Hole National Fish Hatchery, with a response deadline of July 4, 2026. The work, scheduled for July 9–10, supports installation of six concrete ramps using Maintenance Action Team and Maintenance Internship and Fellowship Program personnel. Market research under FAR 6.103-1 identified only one responsible source capable of meeting all requirements. Two regional suppliers can deliver to the remote site, but only Suncore Construction and Materials, Inc., located in Spanish Fork, Utah, possesses the required pump truck, maintains SAM.gov registration, and satisfies federal compliance requirements. Concrete hydration limits delivery to a 90-minute maximum transport window, and additives appropriate to the remote location are necessary. Burdick Materials lacks the required pump truck and is not registered in SAM.gov; Intermountain Concrete Co. cannot deliver the required volume. The NAICS code is 327320 (Ready-Mix Concrete Manufacturing) and PSC is 5610 (Mineral Construction Materials, Bulk).
