About this opportunity
The Department of the Army has issued a Special Notice announcing a Commercial Solutions Opening (CSO) and Area of Interest (AoI) for the Common Tactical Truck (CTT) program. This notice is published under NAICS Category 336120 (Heavy Duty Truck Manufacturing) and PSC Category 2355 (Combat, Assault, and Tactical Vehicles, Wheeled). The announcement provides critical information regarding anticipated procurement quantities and program planning guidance to prospective contractors interested in bidding on this multi-year vehicle acquisition program. The notice was posted on March 26, 2026, with an April 6, 2026 deadline for submissions. This is an open, competitive opportunity with no set-aside restrictions.
The Special Notice outlines the Army's intent to procure up to 36,495 CTT systems under the approved acquisition objective, with an initial requirement of 758 systems projected over the first five years, subject to funding availability. All announced quantities are contingent upon actual budget allocations, and the Army reserves the right to divide procurement among multiple vendors if multiple contracts are awarded. To facilitate contractor preparation, the Program Office and Army Contracting Command (ACC) will conduct 30-minute virtual meetings on March 30-31, 2026, for interested potential contractors to address questions regarding the CSO and AoI requirements. Contractors seeking participation in these clarification meetings must submit requests to usarmy.detroit.cpe-cl.mbx.jtwv-ctt-rfp@army.mil with their preferred meeting date; advance submission of prepared questions is encouraged. The Army notes that these meetings are intended solely for clarification purposes and do not constitute grounds for extending the April 6 white paper submission deadline.
