About this opportunity
This Special Notice from the Department of Health and Human Services' Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority announces the addition of five new areas of interest to an existing Broad Agency Announcement for its DRIVe Easy Broad Agency Announcement. The new areas of interest seek submissions for home-based laboratory testing, digital health tools for pandemic preparedness, next-generation sequencing diagnostics, home-based over-the-counter SARS-CoV-2 diagnostics, and enabling technologies for home-based SARS-CoV-2 diagnostics.
The purpose of expanding the scope of the Broad Agency Announcement is to foster research and development opportunities that advance pandemic preparedness and diagnostic capabilities. Submissions are due between January 15, 2022 and February 3, 2023 depending on the area of interest. Eligible contractors can participate by submitting proposals for projects responsive to criteria in one of the new areas seeking technologies that meet sample type, performance, and regulatory approval standards. Multiple awards of up to $750,000 each are expected for submissions that qualify.
