About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Air Force Sustainment Center is seeking sources for the manufacture of a lever-remote control component (Part Number 4067419, NSN 3040-01-267-7735NZ) as part of a spares procurement initiative. Potential sources must demonstrate capability to furnish all labor, materials, facilities, and equipment required for new manufacturing, including component parts procurement, inspection, testing, preservation, packaging, and shipping. Qualified vendors may also be responsible for supply chain management, logistics planning, forecasting production requirements, long-lead time parts procurement, and addressing diminishing manufacturing sources and material shortage issues. The government is conducting this market research to determine whether the procurement can be competitive or set aside for small businesses, and interested parties must submit a completed Source Approval Request (SAR) package with business information by the December 29, 2025 deadline. Unit prices will be established at the time of contract award, and potential sources may be responsible for nonrecurring engineering costs associated with becoming an approved source.

This procurement is not designated as a set-aside and is open to all business types, including small businesses, small disadvantaged businesses, 8(a) program participants, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses, HUBZone small businesses, and women-owned small businesses. The government is seeking to procure 10 units of the specified lever-remote control spare part with no repair requirement involved. No incumbent contractors or potential award values are identified in the pre-solicitation notice, and no funds are currently available to support this market research effort, which does not guarantee a contract award. The procurement falls under the Aircraft Engine and Engine Parts Manufacturing category (NAICS 336412) and is classified under the Miscellaneous Power Transmission Equipment PSC code (3040). Interested vendors should prepare their responses with consideration that this is an early-stage market research phase designed to identify capable sources before formal solicitation.
