About this opportunity
The Air Force Research Laboratory Space Vehicles Directorate seeks proposals to advance space environment technologies and science through its Space Environment Technologies and Science Program. Offerors are requested to provide integrated proposals addressing topics related to observing, sensing, collecting, processing, and modeling space environment data to develop novel sensing techniques, data quality algorithms, integrated space environment modeling, and physics-based improvements for specification and forecasting models. Proposals will be evaluated based on technical merit, cost, and relevance to the mission. Proposals are due January 22, 2024.
There is no set-aside designation. The NAICS code is 541715 and PSC code is AC12. The total expected funding is $21.5 million over five years of performance. Research will be performed in the United States with an anticipated period of performance of 63 months. Proposals should address at least one of five technical areas: solar/solar wind effects; thermosphere/drag modeling; plasma physics and chemistry; particle physics and radiation belts; and cislunar environment modeling.
