About this opportunity
This Sources Sought Notice is seeking information from small businesses to support a future solicitation for global warehousing and commodity inspection services. The United States Agency for International Development Bureau for Management requires inspection of agricultural food commodities and non-food items worldwide, including ports in Africa, the Middle East, Asia, Europe, and the United States. Respondents must demonstrate the capability to perform 70% of requirements globally and have experience in inspecting food-grade warehouses, agricultural commodities, and non-food items at manufacturer and vendor locations. Responses are due by February 22, 2021 and must include past performance, pricing schedules using the attached rate card for an initial two-year base period and three one-year options, and information on corporate capabilities.
There is no set-aside designation for this procurement. Pricing schedules list hourly rates for inspection services across several countries and cities worldwide for commodities such as plastic sheeting, kitchen sets, blankets, buckets, hygiene kits, shelter fixing kits, and water containers. The solicitation will support USAID's agricultural and humanitarian aid programs and require inspections at a minimum every 30 days, with ad hoc requests, including quantity counts, condition assessments, sample collection and analysis, and report preparation. Related facility audits are also required.
