About this opportunity
The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation (DLA Aviation) is conducting market research to identify potential sources capable of producing UH-1N ELECTRO-ME Actuators, which are electromechanical force input devices used to direct air flow in aircraft Air Management Systems. The specific part number is LA11A2119-1, with the NSN 1680-01-492-1130GA, and the actuator plays a critical role in managing engine inlet air and exhaust gases. The agency intends to award a contract through full and open competition as prescribed by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.102. Interested parties must communicate their capabilities and interest to Robert B. Berg via email by April 24, 2025. Potential vendors should be prepared to demonstrate technical competence in manufacturing aircraft electromechanical components within the Other Aircraft Parts and Auxiliary Equipment Manufacturing sector.
This pre-solicitation notice indicates no specific set-aside status for the contract, suggesting it will be open to all qualified vendors. While the synopsis does not specify a precise award value or contract quantity, it is clearly focused on procuring a specific type of aircraft actuator for the UH-1N platform. The market research is purely informational, and respondents are advised that submission of any information is voluntary and does not guarantee a contract award. The procurement falls under NAICS category 336413 and Product Service Code 1680, which covers aircraft accessories and components. Potential contractors should note that no funds are available for response preparation, and this notice should not be interpreted as a formal solicitation or commitment by the government to issue a contract.
