About this opportunity

Naval Sea Systems Command intends to award a sole-source IDIQ contract for magnetron repair to CPI Beverly Microwave Division over five years, set aside for total small business. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division at Naval Support Activity, Crane, Indiana is accepting sources-sought responses through August 20, 2026 from companies capable of meeting the requirements and potentially competing against the incumbent.

This is a follow-on to contract N0010423CSA10. The Government invokes 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1 for sole-source justification on the basis that only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Respondents must address how they would overcome duplication of cost and schedule delays the Government would incur by certifying and qualifying an alternative source.

Responses may include company and product literature, white papers not exceeding five pages, performance parameters, current availability statements, prior testing summaries, test reports, budgetary estimates for test articles, and arguments against sole-source procurement. Interested parties must register in SAM and, to access controlled attachments, in the Joint Certification Program.

Work is performed at Naval Support Activity, Crane, Indiana. NAICS 811210 (Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance) and PSC 5960 (Electron Tubes and Associated Hardware) apply.
