About this opportunity

The Army Contracting Command - Detroit Arsenal (ACC-DTA) is conducting a Sources Sought Notice and Market Research Survey to gather information about potential sources for a Plain Hexagon Nut with National Stock Number 5310-99-122-5297, specifically the Pearson Part Number ND1710. This market research is intended to help the Army develop an acquisition strategy for a future procurement of these nuts. Interested businesses, both small and large, are invited to submit responses by May 23, 2025, to Colin Creagh via email. Respondents are encouraged to provide comprehensive information about their capabilities, including relevant sales media and product manuals. The government has established specific guidelines for submitting confidential or proprietary information, emphasizing the need for clear markings and protection of sensitive data.

No specific set-aside designation has been applied to this opportunity, which suggests the procurement will be open to all qualified vendors in the Bolt, Nut, Screw, Rivet, and Washer Manufacturing category (NAICS 332722). While no award value or specific quantity is mentioned in the notice, the document indicates this is a preliminary market research phase to assess industry interest and capability. The survey allows vendors to respond in total or in part, providing flexibility for potential contractors. Responses will be used exclusively for government planning purposes and to inform the future acquisition strategy. The government has also noted that support contractors might be involved in evaluating responses, though confidential information may receive limited consideration due to disclosure restrictions.
