Notice text

THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE TO DETERMINE IF THERE ARE SMALL BUSINESSES AVAILABLE AND CAPABLE OF PROVIDING REQUIRED MAINTENANCE ON AN OPERETTA SYSTEM.

This notice is a market research tool used to determine the availability and adequacy of potential sources, prior to determining the method of acquisition and issuance of a solicitation.

The U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) is seeking to determine the degree of interest and capability by U.S. small businesses only in providing maintenance on an operetta high content imaging system located at USAMRIID, Fort Detrick, Maryland.

The maintenance service is normally provided by PerkenElmer, who's maintenance agreement consists of comprehensive coverage on operetta system; serial number (OPRT1540). The service includes all parts, labor, travel, phone support and preventative maintenance visits to USAMRIID.

Responses must clearly demonstrate capabilities through examples of previous and/ or current contracts for maintenance on the type of equipment listed above.

The Government anticipates release of a solicitation to industry for a single Firm Fixed Priced Purchase Order with a Period of Performance consisting of one (1) twelve-month base period plus four (4) twelve-month option periods. Upon review of industry response to this Sources Sought Notice, the Government will determine whether the requirement will be solicited on a small business set aside basis or full and open competition basis. It is requested that all interested parties submit to the contracting office a brief capabilities statement package (no more than 10 pages in length) demonstrating its ability to perform the requested services.

Responses are due on Monday, April 3, 2015 by 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time.

The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this notice.
