About this opportunity

The Department of the Interior's Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) Central Office has issued a Sources Sought Notice for Geospatial Support Services, seeking industry input during the acquisition planning and market research phase. The notice is specifically focused on obtaining feedback from potential contractors regarding geospatial and GIS support service requirements. The anticipated NAICS code for this opportunity is 541519 (Other Computer Related Services), with a Product Service Code of DF01 for IT Management Support Services. The notice is part of a preliminary market research effort to understand the landscape of potential service providers who can meet the government's specific technical support needs. The BIA is exploring contractors' capabilities for providing geospatial data technologies, data management, and program analytics support.

Interested contractors are invited to submit detailed responses demonstrating their ability to provide the required deliverables, specifically those who can operate under an ITSS IDIQ contract. Responses must be submitted via email to Michael Furey (Michael.furey@bia.gov) by 2:00 PM Eastern Time on May 16, 2025, in either Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF format. The government seeks to identify contractors capable of filling four labor categories: Geospatial EGIS, Geospatial Programmer, GIS Analyst IV, and GIS Analyst II, who can support tasks such as developing GIS applications, supporting tribal initiatives, performing data analysis, and managing geospatial databases. Contractors are encouraged to provide comprehensive information about their capabilities and recommend appropriate ITSS labor categories that align with the described requirements. It is critical to note that this is strictly a market research exercise, and respondents will not be notified of evaluation results, nor will the government entertain any questions about the notice.
