About this opportunity
The Army Contracting Command - Detroit Arsenal (ACC-DTA) is conducting a market survey to assess industry capabilities for producing a Chamber Gauge with National Stock Number 5220-01-689-4052. The market research is designed to identify potential manufacturers and evaluate their ability to supply this specialized ordnance component. Interested contractors must respond via email to Ashley Young by March 3, 2025, at 4:00 PM EST, providing detailed information about their manufacturing capabilities, production facilities, quality management systems, pricing, lead times, and production rates. Respondents must operate within NAICS category 332994 (Small Arms, Ordnance, and Ordnance Accessories Manufacturing) and possess a current DD 2345 Military Critical Technical Data Agreement. The survey is focused on gathering market intelligence and does not constitute a formal solicitation, with the Army seeking to understand potential vendor capabilities without creating a binding commitment.
Currently, Heckler & Koch Defense, Inc. (CAGE 3HN73) is the identified source for this chamber gauge, though the Army does not possess a complete technical data package. The market survey does not specify a precise contract value or quantity of gauges to be procured, indicating this is a preliminary information-gathering stage. No specific set-aside designation exists for this opportunity, suggesting it will be open to all qualified manufacturers. First Article Testing will not be required for this procurement, which may simplify the potential bidding process. While the exact timeline for potential future solicitation is not defined, the market research suggests the Army is in the early stages of evaluating potential sources for this specialized ordnance component. Interested vendors should carefully review the detailed requirements and be prepared to demonstrate comprehensive manufacturing capabilities in precision military equipment production.
