About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Air Force Sustainment Center is conducting a sources sought market research effort to identify potential contractors for repair and restoration services of the F-16 Radar Multiplier Assembly. This pre-solicitation notice is not a formal solicitation but rather an information-gathering tool to determine if responsible sources exist and whether the procurement can be competitive or set aside for small businesses. Interested parties must respond by April 17, 2026, and should identify their small business status under NAICS code 811210 (Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance), provide details of any teaming arrangements, and describe similar services provided to both government and commercial customers over the past three years. The government is particularly interested in Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, HUBZone, and Women-Owned small business concerns. It is important to note that this sources sought notice does not constitute a commitment to issue a formal solicitation or award a contract, and respondents will not be reimbursed for any costs incurred in preparing their responses.

The procurement carries no set-aside designation at this time, though the government is evaluating whether a total small business set-aside may be appropriate based on responses received. The NAICS code 811210 has a corresponding size standard of $34 million, which may inform the scope and scale of the anticipated procurement. No incumbent contractor or specific award value is identified in this sources sought notice. The government will use information gathered from interested sources to develop the optimal acquisition strategy for this aircraft component repair and maintenance effort. Responses to this market research are due by April 17, 2026, and should clearly delineate the work to be performed by the prime contractor versus any teaming partners.
