About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking sources for HAZMAT tent frame repair services at the NAVSUP FLCSD Coronado site building 1206. The procurement involves repairing a damaged HAZMAT tent frame, which is a prerequisite for completing a previously awarded tent canopy repair contract. The contractor must provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items necessary to perform logistical support services according to the Statement of Work. Interested parties must submit a three-page capability statement by July 14, 2025, at 1700 PST, with electronic submissions preferred. The evaluation will focus on corporate description details including firm name, size status, ownership, business certifications, points of contact, and unique identifiers, as well as one to three citations of current and relevant experience from the past two years demonstrating capabilities in similar services, complexity, and contract types.

This sources sought notice indicates no set-aside designation is currently being used, though the government is considering set-asides for small businesses under various programs including 8(a), HUBZone, service-disabled veteran-owned, and women-owned small business programs. The contract falls under NAICS code 314910 (Textile Bag and Canvas Mills) with a small business size standard of 500 employees. The government anticipates awarding a firm-fixed-price contract with a proposed award date of August 15, 2025. A tent canopy repair contract has already been awarded to another contractor, but that work cannot proceed until the frame repair is completed. The sources sought notice emphasizes this is a market survey for planning purposes and does not guarantee a contract award. The project involves comprehensive repair processes including site assessment, materials compilation, structural restoration, quality assurance, and detailed documentation to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations while maintaining military standards.
