This market research effort is intended for government planning purposes only and does not constitute a commitment to issue a solicitation or award a contract. The government is seeking information from qualified vendors—including both small and large businesses—regarding their interest, capabilities, and qualifications to manufacture this vehicular component. Prospective contractors must demonstrate their ability, capability, and responsibility to deliver the equipment and must provide responses to three specific questions: whether the item is offered for sale in the commercial marketplace, whether small businesses' subcontracting methods comply with applicable limitations, and the vendor's minimum sustaining rate for the item. All responses must be submitted via email to Ciara Woodard-Brown, Contract Specialist, at ciara.l.woodard-brown.civ@army.mil by Friday, March 27, 2026 at 5:00 PM EST, along with completed survey forms requesting vendor profile information and requirement-specific details.
No set-aside designation has been applied to this procurement, and no incumbent contractors or current award values have been identified in this market research phase. The government's initial quantity requirement is 10 units with an option for an additional 10 units under NAICS code 336992 (vehicular component manufacturing). Vendors are encouraged to provide information regarding their past government manufacturing experience, current production capability, production location, first article testing experience, production lead time, monthly production rates, unit pricing, quality management systems, and commercial market availability. Proprietary information may be submitted if clearly marked as "CONFIDENTIAL," and the government will protect qualifying trade secrets and confidential information in accordance with applicable federal law. Responses to this sources sought notice are voluntary and will not be compensated, and no Technical Data Package has been provided with this announcement.
