About this opportunity

This pre-solicitation notice seeks sources capable of performing an Article 520 radiological release of the AS-41 Ex-Mckee ship. The Department of the Navy Naval Sea Systems Command will evaluate responses to identify qualified contractors with experience conducting similar hazardous waste treatment and disposal projects. Interested sources must provide company and past performance details demonstrating relevant experience within the last five years, technical expertise, and an estimated cost. The deadline for responses is August 10, 2020.

The anticipated NAICS code is 562211 for hazardous waste treatment and disposal services. While no set-aside is currently designated, the agency is considering implementing a small business set-aside which would require responses from small business primes to address limitations on subcontracting and detail compliance. The attached performance work statement provides additional scope details for the radiological release, which is expected to be conducted under an existing SeaPort or GSA contract vehicle if a qualified contractor holds such a contract.
