About this opportunity

The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation is seeking to add National Stock Number (NSN) 4140-01-413-2162 to an existing contract with Honeywell International (Contract SPE4AX-22-D-0003) for aircraft parts and auxiliary equipment. This is a Fixed-Price Requirements Type Contract with prospective price redetermination, utilizing FAR 12/FAR 15 Hybrid Additions methodology. The additions will be sole-sourced to Honeywell from 13 of their CAGE code facilities, supporting various weapon systems. Interested parties are invited to identify their interest and capability by January 12, 2024, with an estimated Request for Proposal (RFP) issue date of February 28, 2025. The justification for sole source procurement is referenced under 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1), indicating a specific legal basis for direct award.

The contract has a 5-year base period with one 4-year option period, originally awarded on May 18, 2022. There is no specific set-aside designation for this opportunity, and no funds are available for response preparation. The procurement is specifically for the Product Service Code (PSC) 4140, which covers fans, air circulators, and blower equipment, categorized under NAICS 336413 for Other Aircraft Parts and Auxiliary Equipment Manufacturing. While the precise award value is not specified, the contract involves adding a specific NSN to Honeywell's existing contract, suggesting a targeted and potentially limited scope of procurement. The sources sought notice is explicitly for informational purposes and does not constitute a formal solicitation, with the government maintaining no obligation to award a contract as a result of this announcement.
