About this opportunity

Defense Logistics Agency Aviation is conducting market research through a sources-sought notice to identify contractors capable of performing supply chain management and technical support for F108 engine support, with responses due by September 17, 2026. This is not a solicitation and will not result in contract award; responses are for planning purposes only.

The Government seeks to determine whether contractors beyond the current incumbent, CFM International, can execute four primary task categories: validate engine usage assumptions and Life Limited Part low-cycle fatigue limitations and maintenance intervals established during certification; update thermal, CAD, and stress F108 part models for future lifing analysis, field investigations, design, and program needs; develop and certify a full self-locking borescope plug with auto-locking feature for F108 and release an associated service bulletin eliminating safety-wire requirements; and provide program management to coordinate all effort elements.

Responders must submit only non-proprietary information. The Government assumes no liability for proprietary data disclosed and will not return submissions. Responses do not constitute offers and cannot form binding contracts. Contractors bear all response costs. The formal solicitation number will be provided upon issuance.

Work aligns with NAICS 336413 (Other Aircraft Parts and Auxiliary Equipment Manufacturing) and PSC 2840 (Gas Turbines and Jet Engines, Aircraft, Prime Moving; and Components).
