This opportunity does not utilize any set-aside designations and DLA Aviation anticipates making a possible sole-source contract modification award, though no specific incumbent contractor is named in the notice. No award values, budget ranges, or specific quantities are provided in this pre-solicitation notice, as it serves purely for market research and planning purposes without constituting a formal request for proposals or government commitment. The notice emphasizes that new source approval typically requires significant time that could delay contract awards, indicating preference for already-approved suppliers. The timeframe for responses is brief, with only six days between the August 26, 2025 posting date and the September 1, 2025 due date. Potential subcontracting opportunities may be available under this acquisition for entities seeking to become approved sources of supply.
