About this opportunity

The Indian Health Service (IHS) within the Department of Health and Human Services is conducting a Sources Sought market research notice to identify Native-Owned businesses capable of providing an Areawide Service, Support, and Maintenance Agreement for Shimadzu Imaging Equipment across Great Plains Area healthcare facilities. The procurement will focus on comprehensive maintenance services for specific medical imaging equipment, including mobile DART units located at hospitals in South Dakota, North Dakota, Iowa, and Nebraska. Interested parties must respond by February 27, 2025, with specific documentation including their company details, Unique Entity Identifier, point of contact information, and a completed Indian Economic Enterprise (IEE) Representation Form. The government emphasizes that this is a market research tool and not an actual proposal solicitation, with no guarantee of contract award or reimbursement for response preparation.

The Sources Sought notice is specifically set aside as a Buy Indian procurement, targeting Native-Owned businesses with a strong preference for Indian Economic Enterprises. The maintenance services will cover six Shimadzu MX-7K Mobile DART units distributed across three healthcare facilities: Pine Ridge Hospital (2 units), Cheyenne River Health Center (1 unit), and Rosebud Hospital (3 units). The maintenance agreement will require comprehensive service including quarterly, semi-annual, and annual maintenance schedules, along with unscheduled and emergency repair capabilities. Contractors must provide all necessary parts, labor, tools, and transportation, with a 30-day warranty on all parts and labor, while explicitly excluding operating supplies, accessories, peripherals, and damages from misuse or natural disasters.
