About this opportunity

The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Division (NSWC IHD), a component of the Department of the Navy Naval Sea Systems Command, is conducting a Sources Sought notice for engineering and technical support services related to Pentagon Force Protection Agency Counter-small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-sUAS) and Air Security systems. The contract will encompass comprehensive support activities including procurement, installation, integration, testing, training, upgrading, and sustaining these classified systems, with contractors also responsible for managing original equipment manufacturer (OEM) oversight. Interested vendors must submit a company brochure detailing capabilities, organizational information, and contact details via email to Sara Cooper by 3:00 PM EST on January 23, 2025. Submission requirements include providing business size, taxpayer identification number, DUNS number, and CAGE Code, with strict limitations on email file size (maximum 2MB) and file types. This is a market research initiative and does not constitute a formal solicitation, with the government reserving the right to reject any or all submissions without obligation.

No specific set-aside designations are currently indicated for this procurement opportunity. The systems list associated with this contract is classified at the SECRET level and will be provided under separate cover, suggesting potential complexity and security requirements for potential contractors. While no specific award value or budget range is disclosed in the pre-solicitation notice, the comprehensive nature of the support services implies a potentially significant contract scope involving sophisticated technical and engineering capabilities. The procurement appears focused on obtaining contractors with specialized expertise in counter-unmanned aircraft systems and air security technologies, with a particular emphasis on Pentagon force protection capabilities. The timeline for actual service delivery is not explicitly stated, but the January 2025 posting date suggests the government is in the early stages of market research and contract preparation.
