About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Air Force Sustainment Center is seeking qualified contractors to remanufacture and repair a Cylinder Assembly, Actuating, Linear (NSN 3040-01-253-7858AH) for the Ogden Air Logistics Center at Hill AFB, Utah. The sources sought synopsis requires contractors to completely disassemble, inspect, repair, reassemble, align, and functionally test the cylinder assembly to return it to a serviceable condition matching original manufacturing specifications. Interested vendors must submit a capability statement to arthur.gumushyan@us.af.mil by April 12, 2025, at 0800 MST and possess a current DD 2345 JCP certification to access technical drawings. Evaluation will likely focus on technical capabilities, quality control processes, and ability to meet strict performance requirements outlined in the Performance Work Statement. The solicitation emphasizes comprehensive maintenance following specific technical orders and implementing a Counterfeit Prevention Plan.

The pre-solicitation notice does not indicate a specific set-aside designation, meaning the opportunity is open to a broad range of contractors within the Fluid Power Cylinder and Actuator Manufacturing (NAICS 333995) sector. While specific award values are not disclosed, the contract involves critical technology with export controls, limiting participation to DoD and U.S. DoD Contractors. The scope of work suggests a precise, detailed repair process for a single type of cylinder assembly, implying a potentially specialized and technical contract. Technical requirements include performing acceptance testing, providing comprehensive test reports, and managing obsolete components throughout the repair process. The contract appears focused on maintaining high-quality, mission-critical equipment with strict adherence to original manufacturing standards and performance specifications.
